What an absolutely AMAZING show we had this July at Stanley Arts theatre.
Thank you to the fabulous cast of You Will Be Found and to all our KtS family, particularly our team of teachers, backstage and front of house helpers!
It was a tale of friendship and family both on stage and off!
Plus huge congratulations to Miss Rosy and Simon and a big (though surprising!) welcome to the KtS family baby Frankie!
It was so great to be back at Mitcham Carnival and performing live again in our Dancin' in the Park mini performance on 25th June!
EXAMS: SATURDAY 15TH JULY WITH MERITS AND DISTINCTONS ALL ROUND!
With Grades, Rainbows, Awards and our first Associate it was a loooong day at our recent examinations on 10th December!
A big well done to all pupils who took part - especially for being so patient and well-behaved whilst you waited your turn!
It was wonderful to see your smiles again and get a chance to see those show costumes once more!
After 2 years of postponement due to covid-19 we finally put on our first full production dance show at a local theatre and it was INCREDIBLE!
There were tears of happiness as those on stage shone but some also of sadness as people were missing from both stage and audience.
I am incredibly proud of all my pupils, teachers, assistants, helpers, chaperones and our families and to everyone involved in this show and KtS Dance THANK YOU for your continued support and love over these difficult years!
It was worth every second of the blood, sweat and tears that went into this show and I can not wait for the next one!!! Well done!
Miss Katy x
A huge well done to all pupils that took part in exams on Saturday October 23rd!
It was so wonderful to finally be back in exam mode after a tough year of classes being in and out of the studio and a fantastic set of results all round - especially considering half the training was on Zoom!
But most importantly the atmosphere backstage was just amazing. We are so prooud of our KtS Dance family! Bring on the show now .....
A special congratulations to Miss Chelsea who has trained tirelessly throughout the lockdown periods, aswell as back in the studio in between, and received a very well deserved Highly Commended on her Student Freestyle exam and Distinction on her Tap exam.
Miss Chelsea is now a qualified Student Teacher and is already busy training towards her Associates.
She is teaching, assisting and covering classes in Pre-School Dance, Popdance/Freestyle/Modern and Tap as part of her ongoing training and is mentored by Miss Katy, Miss Emily and Miss Rosy as part of her ongoing teacher training.
We are so excited and proud to have Miss Chelsea as part of our student teaching team!

We had so much fun in our End of Term Zoom session on Saturday 27th March.
Children from Friday and Saturday classes, as well as some from our sister school the English Dance Academy (EDA) in Vienna, Austria, came together to show off their Spring Term dances.
We had routines in Ballet, Tap, Popdance, Modern, Freestyle and Character dance and finished off with a whole school performance (with parents and siblings joining in too!) of our KtS Anthem: We Are Family!
At the end of the session we had some party dances and played musical statues with a special Easter Egg game where pupils Nya and Eva were the winners of a special Easter treat!
Spring Term 2020 will most certainly be one that is not forgotten! But before we find ourselves saddened by all the things we missed, let's remember how well the KtS Dance and it's sister school, EDA Wien, came together to create some happy memories during the most difficult of times ....
Since 2015, performing at Mitcham Carnival has been 1 of KtS Dance's highlights of the year.
As any dancer knows - the show must always go on - so despite the situation KtS pupils came together, with hope, smiles and lots of
energy, on what would have been carnival day to record our very own virtual performance.
KtS Dance are proud to present our Virtual Mitcham Carnival Performance 2020 - Together Apart
Thank you to all that took part - this performance is for EVERYONE at KtS Dance and for the Mitcham community that share in our special
carnival memories with us every year.
“The greater the storm, the brighter the rainbow” - let’s choose to go over the rainbow where dreams come true and we will be together
again .....
Enjoy!

ANOTHER AMAZING PERFORMANCE AT MITCHAM CARNIVAL BY OUR KtS DANCERS.
WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED FOR YOUR BRILLIANT PORTRAYAL OF THE 4 SEASONS WITH YOUR SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN AND WINTER ROUTINES!
THANKS AS ALWAYS TO OUR WONDERFUL TEACHERS MISS BETH, MISS ROSY AND MISS AMY AND TO THIS YEAR'S HELPERS MISS JENY, MISS ALICE, RAIANNE, HARINDER, HANNAH, KATE, SUE AND CHELSEA - WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT OUT!
SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!! #WEAREFAMILY #TEAMKTS
We are so proud of Grade 2 Ballet, Tap and Modern pupil Roslyn who successfully auditioned for the prestigious Royal Ballet School Junior Associate programme and commenced classes at Covent Garden in September.
Thousands of pupils from all over the world audition to attend the JA programme, which is designed for pupils to attend alongside their regular classes.
Clearly Roslyn's talent and pure love of dance shone through on the day and all of us at KtS Dance are extremely proud of her achievement, which is truly deserved.
What an amazing performance all pupils put in for our "Voyage of the Seas" mini show at Mitcham Carnival 2018.
From pirates and sailors, to an under the sea adventure with the mermaids, sharks and jellyfish it was a genuine 'treasure' to see the KtS family all come together at the end for our Anthem!
Big thanks and congratulations to all teachers and pupils - you are the best!!
It has taken far too long to write this as I have been in denial until now but we officially said goodbye to our wonderful teacher Miss Eve in April 2018 as she looks to a bright and busy future working towards her dream of being an ISTD examiner and, slightly sooner, becoming known as Mrs Eve!
Miss Eve was the Saturday School teacher from Sep. 2015-Feb. 2018 and also took over the Popdance classes from Miss Rachael in April 2016. She has also helped out with cover for Friday Ballet and our Monday After-School dance clubs as well as assisting with the day-to-day running of the school and offering additional admin. help.
From the moment I interviewed Miss Eve I knew she was special and more than 3 years on she has become not only one of the most dedicated, inspirational and hard-working teachers I know but a great friend and confidante. Whilst working at KtS she always went above and beyond her duties, not just for me but also for the parents and pupils and since leaving has continued to take the time out of her busy working schedule to ask after the children when she knows we have had exams or events.
All the children that got to learn from her will have happy memories to hold onto, regardless of whether they continue to dance, and I am sure many will remember her long past their KtS Dance days - which is always the sign of a true teacher.
Miss Eve - I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did on behalf of KtS Dance and for providing our pupils with a safe, happy and professional environment in which to learn, dance and have fun. You have been a true member of the KtS Dance family and will always be part of us.
Thank you and good luck in all your future endeavours xxx
Miss Emily, our Friday Ballet teacher since September 2014, has sadly now moved back home to Wales to further her studies as a Physiotherapist.
Miss Emily has been an amazing teacher, role model and friend over the past 3 years, inspiring both the children and myself with her professionalism, commitment and love of dance. It was an honour to watch her perform as the Snow Queen for the London Ballet Company.
She will be very much missed but I am sure she will visit us from time to time. We wish you the best of luck in your new adventure Miss Emily! Thank you for everything xxx
Congratulations to all who performed in "Once Upon a Storytime" at Mitcham Carnival - Saturday 10th June - you all worked so hard and were an absolute credit to KtS Dance.
Thank you to all staff, helpers and parents for your hard work and support but especially to my teachers Miss Eve and Miss Emily.
I am very excited to announce that we will once again be performing at this year's Mitcham Carnival to take place on Saturday 11th June.
The class timetable will run slightly differently on this day but classes will be available for all (optional for those taking part in the Carnival) followed by a rehearsal for all performing pupils. The performance is set to take place at 2.00pm.
More details to follow shortly but PLEASE SAVE THE DATE!!!! All pupils* will be able to take part in some capacity.
(*Pupils should have been enrolled prior to the Easter holidays in order to take part. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Principal only)
It is with great sadness I announce that Miss Rachael will no longer be teaching our Tuesday Street/Disco classes. With her ever-increasing performance work and a move to Australia planned by the end of this year we came to the mutual decision that it was best for the pupils and the consistency of the classes if she stepped aside after the Easter holidays.
Miss Rachael has been a regular teacher and Assistant Principal with the school since taking over from Miss Katy's Tuesday classes in September 2014. She is a much loved member of the team and without her KtS Dance could not have continued to run as smoothly as it has over the past 2 years. She will be greatly missed by staff, pupils and parents.
I am very happy to say that she will stay on as Cover Teacher for as long as she is resident in the UK and will also be part of special events and workshops when possible.
Miss Eve Graham, our fantastic Saturday School teacher, will take over the Tuesday classes from April 2016 and I have no doubt she will do a wonderful job.
A huge congratulations and well done to all pupils who took part in the Mitcham Carnival performance. Miss Sara and myself were very proud of all involved both onstage and off. The children all behaved beautifully and were a true credit to the school.
I had some lovely comments from spectators and some new joiners as a result of your wonderful performance so thank you all for your support and hard-work.
A special thank you goes to Miss Sara and Miss Rachael for their choreography, time and effort.
From what I saw and heard the children all had a fantastic time which is, of course, the most important thing. I think we are all already looking forward to next year!

Well done to all the children that took part in the KtS Dance Easter Workshops.
Thank you to Miss. Charlotte and all the children for working so hard. Your final show was fantastic with songs and dances from Pixie Lott, X Factor, Hairspray, Wicked, The Wizard of Oz and We Will Rock You.
Our Twinkle Stars also performed their Easter story and One Direction pop dance wonderfully and went away with some fantastic Easter Bunny pictures and of course an Easter egg after successfully hunting for them.
It was a great day and I think we all slept very well afterwards!!
Thank you,
Miss. Katy xxx
